Brendan Curley

Curley was born in Aberystwyth, Wales and grew up in Tacoma, Washington, where his ceaseless nervous energy compelled him to take up hobbies such as pulling out large clumps of his own hair. To distract from such behavior, he began formal piano studies at the age of four; Curley wrote his first song when he was 14, and he's been searching for inspiration for a second ever since. With Katie & The Curleys he plays guitar, piano, and mandolin.

Ben Curley

Ben Serby

Ben Serby grew up in the wilds of the New York metro area, and started strumming guitar at the age of 11 with a penchant for folk and the blues. After a lengthy adolescent detour through rock music, he returned to roots and Americana in time to form a band with Katie & The Curleys. In this outfit, he plays guitar and lap steel, a novel and dulcet flower in his country bouquet.

Kevin has been playing percussion since he was in the 4th grade, and from lesson one he's never looked back. He received his Bachelor of Music from James Madison University and later pursued a Masters of Music in Percussion Performance at the Meadows School for the Arts in Dallas, Texas.

Katie Brennan

Katie Brennan grew up in rural western Washington state where she learned to sing and play harp.  She started writing songs and playing in bands as a teenager, and explored several genres with harp and vocals before finding her voice in country music, taking inspiration from great female songwriters in the genre such as Cindy Walker, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Iris Dement and Gillian Welch.  Katie is pleased as punch to be playing music with The Curleys, and can't wait to cut a record with them!
